If you could meet a person who loves God, loves learning, and loves teaching, then look no further. I am a native of Portsmouth, Virginia. I have earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Philosophy from Virginia Union University in Richmond, Virginia, and a Master of Divinity from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University in Richmond, Virginia. My desire to be a lifelong learner has driven me to enroll in the Doctor of Ministry program at Hood Theological Seminary in Salisbury, North Carolina.
I have served as the Minister of Christian Education at the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and served as pastor at various churches in Virginia and North Carolina, including First Mount Olive Baptist Church in Newtown, Virginia, and Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Rockingham, North Carolina.
As an educator, I have served on the teaching staff of Reid Temple Christian Academy in Glenn Dale, Maryland, Richmond Preparatory Christian Academy in Richmond, Virginia, Spring Hill Middle School in Laurinburg, North Carolina, Sandy Grove Middle School in Lumber Bridge, North Carolina, and Dinwiddie Middle School in Dinwiddie, Virginia where I taught World History and US History. I am passionate about the development and transformation of the community and youth. I have served as a mentor for Spring Hill Middle School’s Spartan Men's Club, Dinwiddie Middle School’s Distinguished Generals, and as coach of the Golf Team at Spring Hill Middle School.
I love to play golf, bowl, and play laser tag. When I am not doing those things, you will find my wife and me sailing the seas, as we love taking cruises.
Most of all, I am married to this amazing partner in life and ministry, Candice Latrice Eley.
