NOVEMBER 17-21

If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at pmcclure@richmondchristian.com.  Thanks!

Johann Sebastian Bach (1685 - 1750) loved God and wrote S.D.G. (Soli Deo Gloria) on his music manuscripts, which translated means "FOR THE GLORY OF GOD ALONE. This is the goal of our Music Department: that God would receive the glory as we use our God-given talents and abilities for Him this year.

We have a variety of ways you can develop your God-given musical talent at RCS!   We have General Music classes for K-4 through 5th grade including recorder and handbell instruction for 3rd through 5th graders, an auditioned Elementary Choir for 4th and 5th graders, and auditioned Elementary Handbell Choir, a Band program for 4th grade through Middle School, a Middle School Chorus, Chapel Praise Teams and Praise Bands, an auditioned Middle/High School Handbell and Handchime Choir, a High School Chorus, a Select Ensemble for auditioned H.S. students, and a H.S. Girls Signing group which uses American Sign Language with recorded Choral pieces.

We want to encourage our students that serving God and ministering to others through the gift of music can be a goal from now until eternity!   I can't even imagine the magnitude of all of our voices praising God in Heaven some day!

PSALM 104:33,34 "I WILL SING TO THE LORD ALL MY LIFE; I WILL SING PRAISE TO MY GOD AS LONG AS I LIVE. MAY MY MEDITATION BE PLEASING TO HIM, AS I REJOICE IN THE LORD."
